Christmas Book Recommendations

Can you believe we are into the final week of November? I can’t believe just how fast this year has gone. I am such a big lover of everything Christmas, and so I am super excited to dive into some Christmas themed books. I have a fair few on my TBR, but today I thought I would share with you some of my all time favourite Christmas books. These are some that I have re-read quite a lot.

A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens is a definite staple for me. I re-read this classic novella every single year on Christmas Eve. I tend to read this and then watch one of the adaptations, my favourite being The Muppet’s Christmas Carol as believe it or not it’s the one that stuck the closest to the Christmas Masterpiece. I love everything about this novella and it really just puts me in the Christmas mood.

The Christmasaurus by Tom Fletcher is a children’s book but that does not mean that it cannot be enjoyed by adults too. I came across the audio edition of this book after buying it for one of my friend’s children. I looked into it as the edition I bought her had a CD of songs with it. Tom Fletcher has wrote this magical story of the Christmas Dinosaur who helps Santa, but he has also wrote songs to accompany the story. I highly recommend the musical edition on Audio. I listen to it every year at the start of December to get me into the cosy Christmas spirit.

Reindeer Falls Series by Jana Aston is the perfect series for the romance lovers out there. It is a series of novellas, 6 in total and each of them follows a couple. I loved all 6 of these. They are quick reads, super cute and fluffy with a tad bit of spice. It’s perfect for the Christmas season. Every year I pray that Jana is going to release some more Reindeer Falls stories. These are Hallmark movies in book form.

Make You Mine This Christmas by Lizzie Huxley-Jones is a book I read for the first time last year. It’s a super cute Hallmark Movie kind of storyline, with an adorable meet cute, fake dating… everything you could want in a cute Christmas romance. I loved it and with it’s positive LGBTQ+ rep in there it’s the perfect Christmas book for everyone. I can’t wait to read Lizzie’s second book.

Stay Another Day by Juno Dawson is another Christmas themed book that I have re-read time and time again. It is raw and gritty as you come to expect from a Juno book with the gorgeous atmosphere on Christmas too. I really loved this one. It shows the reality of a hard family Christmas and I loved this realistic element to the book rather than everything being fantastic. A definite must-read for any Christmas season.
