I cannot believe that we only have 2 months left of 2026. Honestly, I’m looking forward to the year being over as it has without a doubt been the worst year of my life. But while it’s been the worst year ever, I’m hoping to get some fantastic reads in in these last 2 months. Here’s the ten books I’m hoping to read before the end of the year. What are you hoping to read before the end of the year?

This Friday I will be heading to London to attend YALC 2026. I am very lucky that I have attended every single YALC since its inception. So as I am preparing to attend my 12th YALC I thought I’d share with you my all time favourite YALC memories. I’ve honestly met so many phenomenal authors. These are 8 of my absolute favourites that I’ve met over the years. I’m so excited to add another year of YALC memories to my belt.

In addition to books, I have always been such a musical theatre obsessive. And no matter how many shows I see, nothing quite hits like Phantom of the Opera does. It’s been my favourite musical since I was a teenager, and my love for it just grows every time I see it or listen to the soundtrack. So imagine my delight when an esteemed YA author worked with Andrew Lloyd Webber himself to bring us a YA Phantom of the Opera book, told from Christine’s point of view. I have spent the past week devouring Our Strange Duet by Erin A Craig, and while it is very different to what…

This time next week, I will be packing to head to London for YALC which is taking place Halloween weekend. I am so excited, but I have not managed to read quite as much as I was hoping for the event. However, I do still have 2 weeks of reading so I thought I’d share some of the ones that I am hoping to start before I head there in a week and a half.

It’s been really quiet on here for the last week or so. I’ve been in such a reading slump that I haven’t really been reading very much. Add to that the fact that we are in the middle of a full kitchen renovation in my house, so all my books are blocked by boxes I haven’t really had much time to do anything other than work and get ready for the renovation. However, I am happy to announce I am reading more so I thought I’d just come on and share with you some of the things I’ve been reading. Books Finished… I’m a huge Rebecca Ross fan and it…

September has been a very slumpy book month for me. So while trying to get out of my slump, I’ve been debating re-reading some favourite series, and it just got me thinking… what series do we love and wish there were more instalments? This is a really rare feeling for me, as I am typically a short series only lover. I’ve DNF’d many series because I’ve lost interest because they just became far too long. But there are two series in particular that I would love to see more from. The Cassidy Blake Series by VE Schwab I absolutely adored VE Schwab’s Cassidy Blake series. This is a middle grade…

Can you believe we are going into the final quarter of 2026? I can’t lie, 2026 has been the worst year for me personally so I can’t wait to see the back of it! However, I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to share with you what I’ve managed to read from my challenges so far. Challenge 1: Read 52 Books in 2026 I am happy to say I am ahead on this challenge and will definitely achieve this one! At the time of writing this post, I have read 46 books, and so I’m ahead by 9 books! Challenge 2: Read 12 Books Recommended by 12 Friends I…

I am such a huge fan of witchy series, and The Language of Magic series by Cari Thomas is such an underrated one in my opinion. I remember seeing Threadneedle on Instagram but since then, I just haven’t seen it around very much. And as one of my all time favourite witchy series, I am on a mission to promote this fantastic series before the next book comes out. The Books Book 1: Threadneedle Book 1.5: The Hedge Witch – Novella about Rowan Book 2: Shadowstitch Book 2.5: The Burial Witch – Novella about Miranda Book 3: Rootwoven – Coming July 2027 The Premise Threadneedle follows the story of Anna.…

I cannot believe we are already 3 weeks into September! I have been failing so spectacularly at this challenge, as I feel like I’m in a total reading slump. Having said that, I did manage to finish a book this week, which brings my total finished so far to 2. Books Finished So Far… Currently Reading… What have you been reading this month?

Earlier this week I shared some of the books on my TBR for spooky season that have under 350 pages. As I am a huge audiobook fan as well, I thought I would share with you some of the books that I have on my audio TBR that are perfect for spooky season as well. This is a mix of books on Audible and Libro FM. Have you read any of these? Which would you be most excited to read?
