The Christmasaurus is a story about a boy named William Trundle, and a dinosaur, the Christmasaurus. It’s about how they meet one Christmas Eve and have a magical adventure. It’s about friendship and families, sleigh bells and Santa, singing elves and flying reindeer, music and magic. It’s about discovering your heart’s true desire, and learning that the impossible might just be possible.
The Christmasaurus is a book that has been sat on my bookshelf for such a long time. I am a huge fan of McFly so knew about this book from the moment that it released. It has been on my Christmas TBR for about three years and I am happy that I finally read it this year. I downloaded the Musical Edition from Audible and I cannot recommend this edition more. It just makes the story so much more magical.
The Christmasaurus follows dinosaur-mad William, a young boy in a wheelchair who is having such a miserable time in his life right now. He ends up discovering the Christmasaurus, the last dinosaur who works with Santa. It is up to William and the Christmasaurus to go on the journey of a lifetime and save Christmas.
This book is seriously the cutest, most fun, Christmas read. I can’t recommend it enough. I know that I am not the intended audience, it’s a children’s book and I am a 30-year-old woman. But I loved it all the same. It was super cute and adorable and listening to all the songs on the Musical Edition just made me love it all the more. This book is absolutely going to be a Christmas re-read every year.
The narrator of the audiobook does such a fantastic job. He is so expressive I am sure it would keep everyone listening regardless of age. I can’t recommend the audio edition of this book enough. Definitely add this one to your December listening/reading lists. You won’t be disappointed, I promise.
