10 Finished Series You Can Binge Right Now

Binge reading… it’s usually something that everyone loves. I personally don’t really like to read series one after the other as I like to savour them. Probably why I have 60+ series I have started and not finished. But I do know most other book lovers love a finished series to binge read so here are 10 of my favourites… and yes, of these ones I have actually finished them all.

The Daevabad Series by SA Chakraborty (also known as Shannon Chakraborty)

What do I need to know?
If you’re looking for high levels of romance and spice, this one isn’t for you. It is more plot based fantasy with djinn, magical healers and political intrigue in a foreign magical land.

The Elements of Cadence Series by Rebecca Ross

Adult – Fantasy

What do I need to know?
Again this one has low levels of spice but it does have a bit of romance. It follows two couples as they tread through dangerous times as children are magically disappearing from their magical infested island. Inspired by Scottish mythology and folklore.

The Heart of Dread Series by Melissa de la Cruz and Michael Johnson

Young Adult – Fantasy Dystopia

Trilogy

Books in the Series:
1. Frozen
2. Stolen
3. Golden

What do I need to know?
YA with romance so no spice. Set in a dystopian future with dragons. The main character is a dragon trapped in her human form as she will be killed if she is discovered. She goes in a perilous journey in search for the fables utopia where dragons are free to be themselves.

Rebel of the Sands series by Alwyn Hamilton

Young Adult – High Fantasy

Trilogy

1. Rebel of the Sands
2. Traitor to the Throne
3. Hero at the Fall

What do I need to know?
An amazing fantasy set in the middle east which follows a girl who ends up joining a rebellion to the throne. Filled with magic and mystical creatures, this one is such an epic journey. I can’t lie I don’t really remember more than that other than it was awesome. I read it in 2018… clearly I’m due for a re-read.

Angel Trilogy by LA Weatherly

Young Adult – Paranormal Romance

Trilogy

What do I need to know?
An old school YA with a romance between a part angel and angel killer who have to work together to kill the rest of the angels before they bring about the apocalypse and kill all human life forever.

Blood Heir Trilogy by Amelia Wen Zhao

Young Adult – Fantasy

Trilogy

Books in the Series:
1. Blood Heir
2. Red Tigress
3. Crimson Reign

What do I need to know?
An epic fantasy loosely inspired by Anastasia. This follows the princess Ana who had to run away from home after everyone discovers she has the feared blood magic. She must work with a group of outlaws to try and find a way to save her throne and people from the tyranny of who is left in charge.

Frostblood Series by Elly Blake

Young Adult – Fantasy

What do I need to know?
Another fantastic old school YA series about a girl who is a fireblood, someone who would be hunted for her fearsome power. But when she falls in love with a prince who is a frostblood, everything threatens to come out into the open, putting her life in danger.

The Next Together by Lauren James

Young Adult – Sci-fi ? Contemporary ? A mix?

Duology

Books in the Series:
1. The Next Together
2. The Last Beginning

What do I need to know?
I’m torn on what to put on the genre as this one is a bit of a perfect mix. It is the love story about two soulmates, always destined to be together. It spans multiple lifetimes as every lifetime there is always someone trying to kill them before they can meet and fall in love. It’s just utterly phenomenal.

Birthright Series by Gabrielle Zevin

Young Adult – Dystopia

Trilogy

Books in the Series:
1. All These Things I’ve Done
2. Because It Is My Blood
3. In The Age of Blood and Chocolate

What do I need to know?
A phenomenal dystopia set in a world where coffee and chocolate are illegal. The main character is the daughter of a mafia boss who illegally imports these goods into the country. She falls in love with the son of the government official trying to find her father… it’s angsty and perfect.

Aurora Cycle by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff

Young Adult – Sci-fi

Trilogy

1. Aurora Rising
2. Aurora Burning
3. Aurora’s End

What do I need to know?
Amazing sci-fi where a team of misfits find a missing spaceship and there’s someone alive on board, but how did she get there? Why is the government trying to cover this up? It’s so so good!!
