5 Books I Want To Re-Read in 2023
Are you a re-reader? I personally love re-reading. There’s just something about revisiting a series or book that you already know and reading it all over again and falling back in love with it and the characters. I also love being able to enjoy it again, knowing what is going to happen so the worry over how it will end up for our characters is gone. Well here are five books I am hoping to re-read in 2023.
Glass Houses by Rachel Caine is the first book in the Morganville Vampires series. It’s my favourite vampire series from the post-Twilight era and the late Rachel Caine is still to this day one of my favourites. I am going to be re-reading the series one book per month with the amazing Hannah from Han Reads Plots. I’m so excited to be diving back into this world.
The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins is the prequel to The Hunger Games. I know this is a controversial one and a lot of Hunger Games fans refused to read this one with it being about President Snow in his prime, but I loved this book. With the movie coming out this year, I really want to re-read this one before I go and see it.
The City of Brass by SA Chakraborty is the first book in the Daevabad series. This is one of my all time favourite fantasy series and with her new series coming out I am just definitely in the mood for a re-read. It’s just such a phenomenal series.
The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches by Sangu Mandanna was my favourite read of last year. It’s the perfect read for if you’re not in a great place and need a nice uplifting read. It’s just so perfect, and I already cannot wait to re-read this one.
Her Majesty’s Royal Coven by Juno Dawson is the first book in the HMRC series. I absolutely fell in love with this book when I read it last year, and in preparation for the second book releasing, I need to re-read it so I can savour every detail before continuing the series.
Is there anything you are hoping to re-read this year?

I reread two books at the end of last year after I reached my second reading challenge. I love rereading books also. I used to do it so much more before I got involved in book challenges. I used to reread series on a regular basis. It was something very comforting to me. To go back and visit Old Friends. I feel like I don’t have that luxury anymore. And I want to make time for that this year which is why I made my reading goal lower.
