The Prettiest Books On My Shelves
I am such a sucker for a pretty book cover. It’s what initially draws me in and I have been known to buy books, not knowing what they are even about… just because I love the cover. So today I’m going to share with you five books from my bookshelves that I think have the most beautiful covers.
Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry is a YA Contemporary Romance, and I absolutely love this cover. One of the things I love most is that when you take off the dust jacket it has the cover printed on the naked hardback. As quite an old book now, this one is one of the first books I’d seen where it also had a cover printed on the hardback.
Breathe by Sarah Crossan is a YA Dystopia. This was one of the first dystopia novels I read and I just adore this book and its cover. I think the cover is beautiful! This is the UK cover, and I adore it. The colours, how it matches the book so superbly… the font. I love everything about it.
Rebel of the Sands by Alwyn Hamilton is a YA Fantasy. I love this book so much, it’s one of my favourite series and I love this UK cover. In person, a lot of the gold is foil so it’s shiny and beautiful… and I’m like a magpie, I love anything shiny! It also shows perfectly the arabian themes that are central in this series.
Nevernight by Jay Kristoff is an Adult Dark Fantasy. I love everything Jay Kristoff has ever wrote and this is one of my all time favourite covers. I love how the bird is made up of all of these separate parts that all link in to important factors in the story. I adore how well thought out this cover is.
The Empress of Scarred Secrets by Andrea Corbin is a NA Fantasy. This one is the only one on this list that I haven’t read yet. I just adore this cover. It’s so beautiful and I couldn’t help but buy this one purely for this gorgeous cover. I’m excited to read this one.
What are your favourite pretty covers?
