From Goodreads:
The brand-new thrilling novel from New York Times best-selling author of Sky in the Deep Adrienne Young, the second book in the fantastic Fable duology.

Trader. Fighter. Survivor.

With the Marigold ship free of her father, Fable and its crew were set to start over. That freedom is short-lived when she becomes a pawn in a notorious thug s scheme. In order to get to her intended destination she must help him to secure a partnership with Holland, a powerful gem trader who is more than she seems.

As Fable descends deeper into a world of betrayal and deception, she learns that the secrets her mother took to her grave are now putting the people Fable cares about in danger. If Fable is going to save them then she must risk everything, including the boy she loves and the home she has finally found.

“Fable, I love you. I don’t want to do any of this without you.”

Right from the moment I finished Fable, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on Namesake. To my disappointment, at that time it wasn’t currently released in the UK. So you can imagine my utter excitement when my pre-order turned up 12 days early. I immediately dived right in and I am so glad that I did. Namesake was an absolutely fantastic follow-up to Fable and I loved every moment of it.

Namesake picks up right where Fable left off, with Fable held captive. I was emotionally thrown right in at the deep end with this one. I couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen with Fable and whether she would find her way back to West. This book started with a bang and with almost every chapter I was left shocked, dying to keep reading and find out what would happen next. I was flying through pages faster than Fable dredging gems. I just needed her and West to find their way back together and for them to get their well deserved happy ending.

The pacing of the book did slow down a little in the middle but the ending was just absolute perfection. This has fast become one of my all time favourite series. I have never really been a fan of pirate books or books set at sea but this one made me wanna drop my whole life, find myself a crew and head out to sea. I just loved every single moment of it. I am now on the hunt for more sea/pirate books. I just can’t get enough of them and it is all down to this fantastic series.

Namesake was utterly fantastic. It was filled to the brim with twists and turns that I never saw coming… and that’s quite unusual for me. Usually I guess major twists long before we find them out but that was not the case with this fantastic book. I was left, many a time, with my mouth agape wondering what the hell just happened. This was an absolutely stunning finale to this duology and I seriously can’t get enough! I am a forever Adrienne Young fan and I cannot wait until her next release, set in the same world as Fable and Namesake, releases. I loved every moment of this fantastic series and if you haven’t read it then I highly, highly recommend that you do!

“I have never loved anything in my life like I love you. Not Isolde. Not the trade. Nothing.”
