What’s On Your TBR: Retellings Edition

How big is your TBR? I recently went through and catalogued all of my books, and my god I was shocked at just how many physical books I have in my house. I am so happy to say that I have actually read over half of them but that still leaves me with about 300 unread books. I’ve decided to start a new thing each month to share with you some of the books sitting there unread on my shelves. This month I’m sharing with you five of the retellings that I haven’t managed to get to just yet.

Hunted by Meagan Spooner  has been sat on my shelf for a couple of years now. I’ll be honest, I totally bought it for the cover. But as a Beauty and the Beast retelling I cannot wait to read.

Wuthering Bites by Sarah Gray has been sat on my shelf unread since I started blogging. I’m hoping this year may be the year I finally get around to reading it. I am a huge Wuthering Heights fan and I’m quite excited to see a vampiric Heathcliff.

Lancelot by Giles Kristian is a more recent addition to my shelves. I think I picked this one up last year. It’s not YA or fantasy so it’s not my usual read but I absolutely love the whole Arthurian legend so I just had to grab this one.

Romanov by Nadine Brandes is another recent addition for me. This one I actually got for Christmas this year. I loved Nadine’s Fawkes retelling and so I am super excited to see her take of the Anastasia tale. Anastasia was my favourite movie as a kid so I love anything that stems from that tale.

These Violent Delights by Chloe Gong is probably one of the most recent additions to my retellings TBR. I got this in a Fairyloot box, and as a retelling of Romeo and Juliet, I am excited. I’m a huge Shakespeare nerd and I love a good YA Shakespeare retelling.
