Tiffy Moore needs a cheap flat, and fast.
Leon Twomey works nights and needs cash.Their friends think they’re crazy, but it’s the perfect solution: Leon occupies the one-bed flat while Tiffy’s at work in the day, and she has the run of the place the rest of the time.
But with obsessive ex-boyfriends, demanding clients at work, wrongly-imprisoned brothers and, of course, the fact that they still haven’t met yet, they’re about to discover that if you want the perfect home you need to throw the rulebook out the window…
The Flatshare is a book that has been on my radar for a while. When this first released I remember seeing it all over bookstagram. I’m not usually a big lover of contemporary or straight up romance, I’m a fantasy fan through and through. However, after seeing everyone on my instagram raving about how amazing this book was, I just had to pick it up and give it a chance… my god am I glad that I did. I absolutely adored this gem of a book.
The Flatshare follows the story of Tiffy and Leon. Tiffy has just got out of a relationship and she is heartbroken. Determined to get a new start she enters a flat- and bed – share with Leon. Tiffy and Leon work complete opposite schedules so they will never meet. It’s the perfect solution. But as the time goes on and Tiffy and Leon leave post-it notes around the house for each other, an unlikely friendship starts to blossom… but can it be something more.
This is the sweetest most heartwarming story I think I have ever read. Right from the first page I was completely hooked. I loved the characters of Tiffy and Leon right away, they were complete opposites and it was fun to see their different perspectives as we went through the book. Tiffy is loud, extraverted and bubbly… Leon on the other hand is quiet and serious. I loved the contrast of their perspectives because of how different they were.
This is the sweetest romance I think I’ve ever read. I absolutely loved that you get to see them go from strangers, to friends, to starting to fall for each other, without ever having met in person. All of this develops through notes left around the flat for each other. It was so adorable to seeing this go from small notes to developing to long passages. I loved every single moment of it.
The Flatshare was absolutely perfect! I loved every single second of it. I am officially a Beth O’Leary fangirl. I cannot wait to read her other works. I just adored every word of this book and I already want to go ahead and re-read it. It was just utter perfection! Even if contemporary isn’t your thing, I highly recommend that you try this book. It is absolutely wonderful!
