Written by #1 New York Times bestselling author V.E. Schwab, Extraordinary expands deeper into the world of Schwab’s critically acclaimed novels Vicious and Vengeful.Torn from the world of ‘Vicious’, where death is not the end, only the beginning of extraordinary powers… Three new “EO”s must grapple with their new abilities… and with those who would hunt them down!
I’ve never really been into graphic novels all that much. I’ve never been one to turn their nose up at them or anything like that… I’ve just never really understood the appeal. I’m definitely more of a novel person than a graphic novel. I don’t have a good eye for art so never really felt like I’d appreciate it as much as others. However, as a huge fan of VE Schwab and her villains series I just had to pick this one up.
I am so glad that I decided to give this one a chance as it was amazing! I really enjoyed it. The illustrations were phenomenal and I just couldn’t put it down! ExtraOrdinary is set in between the first two books in the Villains series and it’s a fast-paced, super addictive read. It introduces a whole host of new characters and I’m really hoping that they will show up in the novels later down the line.
ExtraOrdinary was a fantastic addition to the series but it could also be an amazing introduction for people who may not necessarily enjoy reading prose text. You don’t need any prior knowledge of the characters and I really hope this introduces more people to VE’s phenomenal series. I think it’s a super fun instalment and I highly recommend everyone to pick this one up.
