2025 Challenges Update: End of April

I’ve had a really weird reading month in April. I found myself in a bit of a slump, and didn’t really feel like reading much. I read about the same amount as I did in March, but that’s quite slow going for me. I did manage to read 6 books, with 3 of them being relevant for my challenges.

Challenge 1: Finish A Series

At the end of March I had finished 2 series and made progress on 2 series. In April, I read one more book for this challenge, finishing another series.

  • I finished the Legacy of Orisha series by Tomi Adeyemi by reading the third and final book, Children of Anguish and Anarchy.

Challenge 2: RARE London Challenge

At the end of March, I had read 6 books for RARE.

I read one more book for this challenge this month. This was a new release, but by an attending author and so I am counting it for this challenge. That makes it 7 books read for the challenge so far.

Challenge 3: Read 12 Books Recommended by 12 Friends

At the end of March, I had read 3 of 12. In April, I finished one book for this challenge.

  • I finished reading Keeper of Enchanted Rooms by Charlie N Holmberg

Challenge 4: ARC Catch Up

At the end of March, I had read 2 books from this challenge. I managed to read one more book for this challenge in April. It is one that also counts for another challenge as it was also the final book of a series.

While my progress hasn’t been wonderful, I’m happy to be making some progress on some of these challenges. For the next two months, I am putting a hold on all challenges except the RARE Challenge, as RARE is now only 2 months away and so for May and June I am going to be focusing on RARE attending authors.
