Spookily Yours is a relatively new to me book. I had never heard of it, or this author until I was researching the authors attending RARE London 2025. I came across this author and thought this book seemed like the perfect read for me. I absolutely love Witchy books and this just seemed like the most adorable quick read. I did enjoy Spookily Yours but I just ended up feeling like it could have been so much better.

Spookily Yours follows a witch who upon going out to get a new familiar, she ends up adopting a demon that has been cursed into a cat. I really enjoyed this concept as it just seemed so fun and cute. I felt like this seemed to get resolved super fast and once it did, I started to lose interest. Everything just seemed far too easy. I know it is quite a short read, and maybe I’d have enjoyed it more if it had been a bit longer and things had been able to take their time, but for me, everything seemed rushed and it ended up making me lose interest. There was nothing to keep me hooked because everything just seemed to work out on the first try.

Spookily Yours was a cute read, and if you enjoy short and spicy witch stories, you’ll probably really enjoy this one. However, I was left a little disappointed and will not be continuing the series.
