Cosy Reading Habits
As the weather is starting to turn here in the north of England, I started thinking about reasons why this is my favourite time of year. I am 100% a Autumn and Winter girlie and I thrive so much more in these months. And one of the reasons is everyone seems to spend more time indoors. It becomes much more socially acceptable to be doing more indoor activities and hobbies… and that is me all year round! I love the cosy Autumnal vibes more than anything and it got me thinking about all the cosy reading habits I tend to adopt at this time of year.
The Blankets
I’m absolutely a blanket girlie, and there is nothing I love more than cosying up under a cosy blanket with my current read. I have so many blankets but some of my personal favourites are my bookish ones I have gotten from the JLA shop. The Sherpa blankets are so warm! And one of my best friends Han, bought me a dinosaur Halloween blanket last year and I love it so much. They are definitely my go-to blankets.
The Hot Drinks
Whether you’re a tea drinker, a coffee drinker or a lover of hot chocolate, this is the perfect time of year to cosy up with a book and a hot drink. I personally am a coffee lover and I love a good frothy milky coffee to go with my book. On an evening though, a hot chocolate made with my Velvatiser is to die for!
The Candles
I’m not usually a candle girl, but in autumn and winter I can’t help but love to light some seasonal candle scents. It just sets the cosy reading atmosphere! So my go to candle scents are usually Autumn Daydream and Cinnamon Swirl by Yankee Candle in autumn and Christmas Eve by Yankee Candle in Winter. I love this time of year and it is just the best.
Tell me, what are your cosy reading habits at this time of year?
