From Goodreads:
After touring the rural areas of Panga, Sibling Dex (a Tea Monk of some renown) and Mosscap (a robot sent on a quest to determine what humanity really needs) turn their attention to the villages and cities of the little moon they call home.

They hope to find the answers they seek, while making new friends, learning new concepts, and experiencing the entropic nature of the universe.

Becky Chambers’s new series continues to ask: in a world where people have what they want, does having more even matter?

They’re going to need to ask it a lot.

As soon as I had finished listening to the audiobook of A Psalm for the Wild-Built, I immediately downloaded this one. I couldn’t wait to read more adventures from Dex and Mosscap. I have absolutely fell in love with these two unlikely characters and I am so glad I read this second instalment.

This one follows our unlikely pair as they travel into a village and Dex ends up teaching Mosscap about some of the different ways that humans live. Mosscap is overcome by all of the things that the humans ask for, and he is determined to help in any way he can.

I just loved this novella. It was again cute, sweet and really makes you think about what it is to be human. I love that we have this underlying message that it’s okay to not be okay, and to not know what you want in life. It’s just such a beautifully written and thought-provoking story. These novellas are my first delve into Becky Chambers writings, and I will definitely be picking up more in the future. If you’re looking for some cosy reads, then you definitely need to pick these up.
