My Time At YALC 2022

It’s been just over a week since I spent the weekend in London at the Young Adult Literature Convention, otherwise known as YALC. If you’ve been following my blog for any amount of time, you will know I attend this convention every single year! I have attended it since the very first YALC, and I had really missed it the past two years over the pandemic. I have been really looking forward to it and I really had the best time. I went with a lot of books to get signed… and I came back with even more.

The Signings

I was so excited and honoured to meet some amazing authors. I met more than I got pictures with, as a few of them I have met before. But my most exciting memory from that weekend was finally meeting the wonderful Brigid Kemmerer. I have loved Brigid’s books for almost a decade and communicated with her online for the same amount of time, so to meet her in person was just wonderful!

The Book Haul

I did end up coming home with one hell of a large book haul! I am officially on a book buying ban following this convention, as I officially have no room left on my bookcase. Here’s all the pretties I picked up. Two of them were ARCs that I won, the rest were purchased.
