Trope Wars: Missing Royalty Vs Chosen One
There are so many tropes that we all either love or hate. I was thinking about some tropes that I love and the idea for this post hit me. Trope Wars! Which do you prefer. This is going to be something that I feature once a month with some different popular tropes. I decided to start with two that I actually love!
Missing Royalty
This is honestly one of my all time favourite tropes. As a huge love of anything fantasy and YA Fantasy, if in the blurb is suggests there is some missing or forgotten royalty than I am sold! I want to know why and how they went missing and/or were forgotten. I just absolutely adore everything about it, and some of my all time favourite books have this trope. Here are five of my favourites with the missing royalty trope.
The Chosen One
This is probably one that has been massively overdone over the past few years, but I don’t care. I absolutely freaking adore it. The idea that there is only one person out there who can save the world, or help the situation. I absolutely live for it! I will always choose a ‘chosen one’ trope over many many others. Here are five of my favourite ‘chosen one’ books.
