Bookish 2022 Goals

Can you believe it’s 2022 already? I swear I’m still stuck in like 2020. We’ve had two pretty horrific years, and I feel like I’m blocking them out by pretending we are two years in the past! Anyway, I’m back from my extended blogging break and I am ready and excited to have a bookish year!

So today, I am sharing with you some of my bookish goals I have for this year. I tend to not set too many as I don’t like to put too much pressure on myself. While I adore reading and blogging, I often have to remind myself that it’s a fun hobby so if there’s some months when I don’t read or post here on the blog… that’s okay. It will still be here when I have the time to do a little bit more.

So here you go my very few bookish goals for 2022:

  • Read 52 books in the year (that’s one book a week and completely manageable)
  • Finish 15 series I have started and haven’t completed (I have around 25 where I only need to read the final book)
  • Tackle That TBR (I officially have zero space for new books so I really need to get through and get rid of some of those books sat on my shelf)
  • Catch up on some Illumicrate/Fairyloot featured books
  • Catch up on ARCs from previous years

That’s it! 5 goals is pretty low for me, usually I have like a million challenges, so I’m keeping it simple. What are your challenges or goals this year? Let me know in the comments.

If I caught up on my TBR that would be amazing. What I need to do is actually catalogue my TBR somewhere other than my kindle. Get roids of books I know I absolute will not read and then prioritize. My book club books take precedence the week of
the meeting. Then I’m a mood/ OMG THAT BOOK DROPPED or There’s an ARC for that? I have no chill whatsoever. But, being retired, do I have to?

Good luck on your goals Kay! One of my goals every year is also to tackle those unfinished series… last year I finished 9, so it’s not too bad. Lol
