Self-Published Authors That Should Be On Your Radar

It’s very easy to just purely read traditionally published authors. I am very guilty of doing this. As someone who doesn’t enjoy reading E-Books, it’s so much easier for me to be able to pick up books purely by authors who have been traditionally published. I am one who prefers to go into a bookstore, have a browse and pick out some new books. Here in the UK, it’s very rare for you to find self-published authors in those stores. However, I have been actively trying to branch out and read some more self-published authors. These authors books are easy to find on Amazon, and most are available on Kindle Unlimited if you are a KU subscriber. Here’s 5 who I think, regardless, you should give their books a go.

Janelle Stalder writes Young Adult and New Adult books in a variety of genres. You will definitely find something for you no matter what you like to read. She has epic fantasy books, dystopia, paranormal romance and contemporary and they are all absolutely fantastic. One of my personal favourites is Balance, the first book in the Balance series and it has fallen angels and demons and epic love.

Scarlett St Clair writes New Adult and Adult romance. I have only recently started reading Scarlett’s work with her Hades and Persephone modern retelling and let me tell you, it is not to be missed. I am absolutely obsessed with this series and her writing. I definitely need to pick up more in the future. If you’re a paranormal fan she is releasing a new Vampire series starting later this year.

Kate Dunbar writes New Adult Romantic Suspense books. Kate has only just released her debut in the last year and I fell head over heels with it. I’m not usually a lover of thrillers/romantic suspense but I absolutely couldn’t put Used down. It was absolutely fantastic and not to be missed. She’s even writing a follow up following one of the side characters from Used.

Heather Hildenbrand writes Young Adult, New Adult and Adult books in a range of genres. She has some Paranormal Romance, some Sci-fi, some Contemporary and some Reverse Harem if that’s your jam. My first of hers that I read was YA Paranormal series Dirty Blood. It’s one of my all time favourite series regarding wolves. It’s phenomenal and definitely worth picking up.

Rachel Morgan writes Young Adult books in the fantasy, paranormal, fairytale retellings and contemporary genres. I have loved everything of hers that I have read. Her Faerie Guardian series is my personal favourite and is absolutely stunning and phenomenal! I loved every moment of it.
