Books With Time Travel
I’m a huge lover of anything sci-fi. If it includes anything in space or aliens… I am sold. One sci-fi/fantasy element that I love is time travel. I love books that include time travel and I don’t think there are enough of them about the YA bookosphere. Here are five books including time travel that I absolutely loved.
Tempest by Julie Cross
Tempest follows Jackson, a high school senior who has a pretty normal life. Apart from the fact that he can time travel. After his girlfriend gets shot, he time jumps back in time and finds himself stuck. He wants to get back to save his girlfriend but the people who hurt her are after him in the past.
Hourglass by Myra McEntire
Hourglass follows Emerson, a teenage girl plagued by visions. Nobody believes her until she meets Michael, someone who can see the same things that she can. As they work together she realises Michael is here for her help saving someone. I loved this one. It has mystery, intrigue and a dash of time travel.
Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs
Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children is a book I still have only read the first book in the series. It follows Jacob, a young teenager whose head is filled with his grandfather’s crazy stories about floating girls, magic and monsters. He isn’t sure whether to believe him, until he travels back in time and finds everything his grandfather has told him about.
My Super Sweet Sixteenth Century by Rachel Harris
My Super Sweet Sixteenth Century is a very young YA novel that follows sixteen year old Cat. While she is on holiday she finds herself walking into a magical tent in Florence, Italy… and walks out in the sixteenth century. It’s super cute and such a fun release.
The Next Together by Lauren James
The Next Together follows Katherine and Matthew, two soulmates who are born over and over again. Every time they are born they change the world for the better, and each time they fall hopelessly in love over and over again. For this one you have to wait till book 2 for the time travel aspect but I just had to include it as this is one of my all time favourite books! I think everyone should read this book.

Hope Griffin Diaz
I love the John Carter series. Hmmm, more space travel than time. Of course there are the novelizations of the Doctor Who series. And Outlander. I think I like to watch it more than read it. I don’t know. It’s early here and I’m tired and need a nap already. 🤪
