From Goodreads:
Jacinda was supposed to bond with Cassian, the “prince” of their pride. But she resisted long before she fell in love with Will—a human and, worse, a hunter. When she ran away with Will, it ended in disaster, with Cassian’s sister, Miram, captured. Weighed down by guilt, Jacinda knows she must rescue her to set things right. Yet to do so she will have to venture deep into the heart of enemy territory.

The only way Jacinda can reach Miram is by posing as a prisoner herself, though once she assumes that disguise, things quickly spiral out of her control. As she learns more about her captors, she realizes that even if Will and Cassian can carry out their part of the plan, there’s no guarantee they’ll all make it out alive. But what Jacinda never could have foreseen is that escaping would be only the beginning….

Loyalties are tested and sacrifices made in the explosive conclusion to Sophie Jordan’s Firelight trilogy.

The Firelight Series has been a favourite of mine for so many years. I read, and fell in love with, the first book around 10 years ago, and for some reason I just never got around to finishing the series. Enter Covid and lockdown and while working from home I have found a love of audiobooks. So I downloaded the audio edition of Hidden and started listening to it… and I got completely sucked in. I listened to this one in just over a day. Once I started listening I just couldn’t stop.

Hidden was a great conclusion to this trilogy. I was a little bit worried that I wouldn’t remember what had happened prior to this book as it’s been so many years since I read the first two but I needn’t have worried. Sophie Jordan is a fantastic writer and does an amazing job of reminding you of the past events but without being repetitive. Within a chapter of two I could remember most of it very clearly and was completely enamoured with the story again.

Hidden was fast paced and action packed. I was completely in love with this story from start to end. It helps that this series is about dragons as I loooooooove me some dragons! I was completely taken away on this journey with the characters and I’m actually super sad to have finished it and have no more dragon adventures to go on. I recommend this series to anyone who loves dragons, fantasy and romance. It has all of it and it is perfect!

I really enjoyed Hidden. It was a fantastic conclusion to a fantastic series. I am so glad I finally picked it up. It had such a perfect and brilliant ending. I enjoyed every single moment of it. I will definitely be picking up Sophie’s other YA series in the future. This one was a fantastic fun ride and definitely one I would re-read.
