From Goodreads:
Sometimes the difference between a love story and a horror story is where the ending comes . . .While Jude fought for power in the Court of Elfhame against the cruel Prince Cardan, her sister Taryn began to fall in love with the trickster, Locke.
Half-apology and half-explanation, it turns out that Taryn has some secrets of her own to reveal.
The Lost Sisters is a companion e-novella to the New York Times bestselling novel The Cruel Prince by master writer Holly Black.
“Be bold, be bold, but not too bold.”
The Lost Sisters was recommended to me after I’d finished reading The Cruel Prince. It’s Taryn’s point of view of how things went down between her, Locke and Jude. I love a good novella so I was looking forward to reading this and seeing things from Taryn’s perspective. Now, I’m not the biggest lover of Taryn but I’ve always been a fan of seeing things from other characters perspectives.
The Lost Sisters was enjoyable. It was interesting to see things from Taryn’s perspective and how things went down. I actually ended up liking Taryn less after this novella. I doubt that was the intention but it just made me annoyed at her that she wasn’t talking to Jude about everything. Don’t get me wrong Jude didn’t speak to her either but it just made me annoyed at the both of them.
This was an interesting novella but I don’t feel like it’s necessary to read. I don’t feel like I gained anything from having read it. I ended up getting a little bored of it the more I read it. I don’t think you’re missing out on much if you give this one a miss but it was nice to see someone else’s perspective.
