Let me tell you, as a huge fan of JLA and having followed her religiously from the publication of her very first book and having read all of them this one is my favourite. To me this one is definitely her best work so far.

2.  Okay, Kyler why did you push Sydney down on the playground in second grade?  I want the whole story.  
I was five years old.  That’s what boys do when they like girls when they are five.  We push them.

Exclusive Interview with JLA:

You are well known for writing the most amazing YA novels and the sexy Adult novels. What made you decide to write in the new NA genre? 

 Although Wait for You was released first, Frigid is actually the first NA novel that I wrote.   I was approached by Patricia at Spencer Hill Press to write a NA book for their new NA line.  I’d been considering writing a NA book already, so when Patricia contacted me I was very excited to have the chance to come up with an idea in that genre and write it.

Is there anything that inspired you while writing your NA novels?   

Honestly, I know this isn’t very exciting, but I find inspiration when I’m doing normal, everyday tasks.  I come up with ideas in the shower, or at the gas station, or watching tv.  Even random conversations sometimes give me ideas.  I think that it’s probably because I’m always subconsciously looking for inspiration, so I think of ideas at odd times.

What/Who are your favourite NA books/authors?   

That’s tough because I could list so many NA books and authors that I enjoy reading.  But, off the top of my head, I really loved Foreplay by Sophie Jordan and Losing It by Cora Cormack.

Your upcoming NA, Frigid, is due for release soon, how do you feel about releasing it into the world? 

 I’m excited for everyone to get to read Kyler and Sydney’s story.   I really enjoyed writing both characters, so I hope that readers enjoy them as well.  I always get a little nervous before a new book is released, especially when it’s something different that isn’t a part of an existing series, but it’s more of a nervous excitement. 

Was there any particular thing that inspired this story?

 I really just wanted to write a fun, sexy NA book that wasn’t filled with a lot of angst.   While Frigid does have tension and some issues that Kyler and Sydney have to overcome, I wanted their characters to be realistic and their story to be relatable.

And finally what can we expect from you in the future, particularly in terms of NA? 

 Trust in Me, which is Wait for You in Cam’s POV, is my next NA book that is scheduled to be released in October.   I’m currently finishing Be With Me, the next book in the Wait for You series, featuring Teresa and Jase and that releases in Feb of 2014.  And, there just might be a companion novel to Frigid that’s in the works!
