My Top 3 Holly Bourne Books

Last week I shared my review on Holly Bourne’s new upcoming YA Thriller, And Then We Screamed. I have been such a huge Holly Bourne fan since her debut released back in 2013. So after loving another Holly Bourne book, I decided now would be a good chance to share with you my top 5.

  1. And Then We Screamed: YA Thriller / Mystery – Honestly after finishing this one if flew straight into the top spot. This book is so important and impactful that it couldn’t be anywhere but at the top spot. It’s hard to say why without spoiling it. Just trust me and go preorder this book!
  2. Soulmates: YA Romance / Magical Realism – Soulmates was my favourite for a very very long time. I think for me it’s because this one has a dash of magic involved whereas the others don’t, and I just loved this idea of soulmates existing but being too dangerous to be together.
  3. Am I Normal Yet?: YA – Contemporary / Mental Health – The OCD representation in this is so good. There’s none of this ‘I just like things neat and tidy’, it shows the reality of living with this debilitating mental health issue. The first in the Spinster Club series, but in my opinion the first one is the best.

Have you read any Holly Bourne books? Which one was your favourite?

I love Holly Bourne so much. I actually would be so hard pressed to pick a favourite though!! I related to Am I Normal Yet so much because of my OCD. But I found that some parts were a bit too accurate and my brain started to pick up the anxiety, so I hesitate to pick it despite it meaning so much to me.
