5 Older Series / Standalones That Are Still On My TBR
Last week I posted my 5 favourite ‘old skool’ books that I think still deserve hype all these years later. You can read it HERE if you missed it. I’ve been blogging now for almost 12 years so those early 2000’s books are ones that hold a special place in my heart. There are still some older YA series that I haven’t read yet, so today I thought I would share those ones with you.
Starcrossed by Josephine Angelini is a YA Paranormal Romance inspired by Greek Mythology. I remember buying this around 10 years ago, I unhauled the series years later… and then when these new covers released, rebought them in the hope to read them. I’m hoping to get to this one soon.
Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi is a YA sci-fi series that I bought not long after I read Divergent by Veronica Roth (because I got the names mixed up and thought it was the same author LOLZ). I still haven’t read this trilogy but I do own all three… I really need to read this one soon.
The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater is a YA Paranormal Romance series that I bought more recently actually. I read Maggie’s Shiver series and absolutely loved it and after seeing this series on sale, I thought it was about time to read some of her other series.
The Near Witch by VE Schwab is a YA Paranormal standalone that technically has only recently been released. However, I remember this book releasing a long time ago, it not selling very well and you couldn’t find it in any stored for years. Following VE’s well-deserved success with her other series, they finally re-released this one and I absolutely cannot wait to finally read it.
Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor is a YA Fantasy series… and I am technically cheating by adding it to this list. I have actually read this one years and years ago, and I liked the first book but DNF’d book 2. This was back when I didn’t really read Fantasy so I really want to read this one again, now that I read a lot of Fantasy as I feel like my feelings will be completely different.
Have you read any of these? Let me know in the comments.
