My Favourite Things: Fae

Last month, I did a post about dragon books. I’m such a huge lover of dragons I just felt the need to share my favourite books about them. After discussing books with some friends I decided to do another ‘Favourite Things’ post. I’m going to do one of these posts per month for a while but with a different paranormal/fantastical creature each time. This time I’m going to focus on books with fae / faeries.

Favourite Fae Books

A Court of Thorns and Roses is book 1 of a NA Fantasy series that follows Feyre, a mortal struggling to survive. She is snapped up by a powerful fae and she is suddenly thrown into this magical world that is at war. I love this series. If you haven’t read it, I highly recommend it. It’s a fantastic fantasy romance filled to the brim with fae.

The Faerie Guardian is the first book in YA fantasy series, Creepy Hollow. This is one of my all time favourite series. I loved it. It follows Violet, a faerie guardian in training who is set to be one of the best guardians, those who protect humans from discovering the fae world. This series is split into three trilogies, each following a different main character. All three trilogies come together to form a bigger story arc.

The Falconer is book 1 in a YA fantasy series that follows Alieana, debutante by day, fae hunter by night. Alieana’s mother was killed by an evil fae, so now she is on a journey for revenge. She won’t stop until she kills the deadly fae who stole her mother’s life.

The Iron King is the first book in YA Paranormal Romance series. This one follows Meagan, a half-fey half-human. She is thrown into the magic of the fey realm and has to go on a journey to find the Iron King and stop the iron from poisoning the rest of the fey courts.

Darkfever is the first book in Adult Urban Fantasy series Fever. Fae are different in this series. They are as bad as you could ever imagine. After her sister’s death Mac travels to Dublin to find out what happened. Here she discovers she is special, one of the only humans who can see the Fae, and she is determined to stop them.

Recommend Me Some Fae Books

Usually this would be where I tell you some of the fae books that are on my TBR… however I discovered that I don’t actually have a single fae book on my shelf to read. So I want you to tell me what your favourites are… what do I HAVE to read?
